For the best results, exfoliate and shave 24-48 hours before your spray tan. Exfoliating helps smooth your skin and removes dead skin cells, ensuring an even, flawless tan. If you need to shave after your airbrush tan, use an electric razor with pivoting heads to avoid disrupting the tan.
If you must shower before your tan, make sure to do so at least 4 hours beforehand. Use cool or lukewarm water, as hot water can open your pores. Open pores can lead to small black dots if the spray tan is applied too soon after.

It's best to skip makeup, deodorant, perfume, and body oils before your spray tan. These products can create a barrier on your skin, preventing the tan from applying evenly. Chemicals and oils may also affect the results. It’s safest to go without them!

Your outfit after a spray tan matters! Choose loose, lightweight clothing to avoid any friction on your skin. Steer clear of tight bras or snug-fitting clothes. Thong sandals or flip-flops are the ideal footwear. Darker clothing is recommended, though don’t worry—our spray tan washes out of nearly all fabrics.
Be sure to book your nail salon appointment at least 24 hours before your spray tan. This allows time for any oils to fully absorb, ensuring your spray tan artist can properly protect your nails. Avoid getting nail services after your tan, as it can strip the color from your hands and feet.

It's best to avoid excessive sun exposure before getting a spray tan. Sunburns not only look bad, but they can also dull the glow of your INSTAGLOW tan, leading to less impressive results and possibly causing your skin to peel. Peeling can ruin your spray tan.

- Staying home? Carry on around the house with your normal routine. Just remember to avoid water.
- Stay Moisturized! Apply a fragrance free moisturizer often to help prolong your tan.
